Unlock Sprint Samsung Note3 w/Code to take to Verizon

I got the PIN and PUK1 codes to Unlock my Samsung Note3. Changed providers from Sprint to Verizon. I have a Verizon SIM card. I put in the new Verizon SIM card, but it never asked for the codes. How do I unlock it so that it will work? Please help.

If it doesn't ask for an unlock code it's not locked.

Problem is that I don't think a Sprint Note 3 will run on Verizon towers. (It's not the same as with a GSM phone.)
