Unroot Gs5 Verizon

Hey guys. I rooted my Verizon Galaxy S 5 a while back. A few weeks after rooting Verizon asked to perform an update. I wasn't really thinking and allowed it to run its course. When it rebooted I lost my root privileges. SuperSU claimed I was no longer rooted but adblocker and also my custom boot were still going. I need your help and need to get completely unrooted. I am not a big rooter and it was my first time so simple terms would be best :)

Re: Unroot Gs5 Verizon

SuperSU has a Settings section. There's a "completely unroot" choice in there. (It may complain that the binary is missing - ignore that.)

BTW, Verizon goofed - a rooted phone should make an update fail before the 30% point. Some of the things you can do while rooted can cause an update to brick the phone.

This! Also, if you have a custom recovery installed, make sure you uninstall it before you unroot. Otherwise you could run into some minor problems, and have to re-root to get rid of the recovery.

Reroot the phone. Then fully unroot it. Or just flash a stock ROM and recovery. Samsungs are trivial to flash - [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN. By the third time you'll be trying hard not to fall asleep. It's boring. (I had a week during which I had to reflash at least a dozen times. I'm glad I had questions to answer here - watching the grass grow in the winter in Siberia is more thrilling than watching Odin flash a ROM to a Samsung device.)
