how can install root with super su without flashing

"Flashing" is installing software to storage, the same as installing an app - that flashes the app to the phone.

Most good root methods just restart the phone in a temporarily rooted mode, then install su. (That's the whole secret, and why it takes so long to find a method for each phone for each version of Android - you can't install su to where it has to be unless the phone is rooted.)

Just find a rooting method that works with your model phone, for your version of Android, and use it. XDA Forums is a good place to find rooting methods for most phones. Just put your phone model in the search box in the upper right corner with the word root in front of it, and see if there's anything for your phone. (Not all Android devices can be rooted. Someone has to find a way, and some phones don't have owners who know enough to find one, so they never get rooted.)

I have been trying to root, flash, twerp, whatever I can along with hours of you tubing, and still can not find a rooting method for my at&t qs5509a. The reason I purchased this phone was because it would not hurt my pocket if it suddenly became the "brick" you speak of. Now my newfound hobbies is turning into a possibly impossible mission.
