how can my LGGWR get OTA if its not connected to my phone?

i've only had my watch for 2 days, and its not been fun. i followed the instructions, and it pairs fine with my moto X 2nd gen. however, it only stays connected to my phone for a few minutes, as has been documented by many others. so, if the new ota update could or will resolves my connection problem, how will it ever get to my watch? i've uninstalled and reinstalled AW on phone, i've reset the watch many times, i've even tried the manufacturers wipe/reset, but can't since there's no 'yes' button when finally asked if i want to wipe the phone clean. is there a way to manually DL the update? i basically bought a $300 digital watch :0:'(

My only suggestion would be when the watch is connected for those few minutes. In your watch swipe over to settings tap on it and then go to wifi (hopefully it has it) connect to your wifi you'll have to enter the password from your phone. Hence doing it while your phone is connected. you should be able to connect after that. Hopefully that works. It is weird that your watch doesn't stay connected though. I hope the issue is resolved quickly.
