How can one use the camera without permitting it to make phone calls?

When one tries to activate the camera, one is asked to give the camera permission to “make and manage phone calls”. If permission is denied, one cannot use the camera.

This is very strange.

How can one use the camera without permitting it to make phone calls?

DOOGEE X5 MAX PRO.

I did not install any applications for the camera. My question referred to the original software that was installed by the manufacturer.

I am well aware of the risks of granting permissions and therefore I find it very odd that the camera would not work unless it got permission to make calls.
