Didn't download it didn't ask for it and can't delete it.
Why? How do I get rid of it?
I hate everything emoji. I'm 56 not 16.

Thanks for any and all help.

The same way Facebook, Spotify, LinkedIn and Fortnite got on there. Samsung's greed.

Presumably they added it in the most recent update... It's bad enough it can't be uninstalled, but it can't be disabled either, so I think the only way to rid yourself of it is to root. Or buy a phone from someone else.

Yup. I noticed it the other day. I was like, WTF did this come from? Pisses me off that we are forced to have it.

Where are you seeing it? I don't see that on my device.

It's in the app drawer (I'm using Nova), i only noticed it cause it updated through the galaxy store.

Have you updated to the new system software with the May security patch?

I have the May update, but did not get the emoji app. My phone is unlocked, with service through Spectrum.

I just found it in the Galaxy store sitting there so it's not really part of the patch.

What makes you think that? What i was proposing is that they included it as a system app in the patch.

They've definitely included it as a system app at some point, because it's a system app.

It's sitting in the Galaxy store awaiting my per my permission to install.

Ah, I understand. U thought you meant it was just in there as an app in general.

Well, consider this your warning then lol, if you download it, it'll be on your phone permanently.

Except this is not a pre-installed 3rd party app. This is an additional feature for AR stickers obviously to compete with iPhones.

Just like all the other phone features you'll never use, you don't HAVE to use it, and no stickers will be created for you if you don't make them.

Which would'nt be fine if we could disable it.

Can't be disabled because it's part of the already-included AR software included, in turn, in the camera. They just created a separate 'locker' for creating/managing these outside of the camera app.

I don't have it on my phone. Must be only a certain carrier forcing it to be installed.

I have two S10+, one is running the T-Mobile firmware, the other the unlocked firmware, both on the May update. Both are AT&T unlocked on T-Mobile.

I have an unlocked s10+ on T-Mobile. The AR Emoji is not in the App Drawer, it's in the camera app. It's the same on my s9+.
