How do I access the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 settings wifi menu?

How do I access the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 settings wifi menu

I have a problem which could possibly be resolved if I could access the advanced settings from the wifi menu, but the menu symbol (3 vertical dots) does not appear when i select Settings/Wifi.

Any suggestions why?

Lower left corner of the screen, under the phone icon - there should be a soft button for the old-style menu. It looks like a page with a couple of lines of text - basically a list or a menu.

I cannot see what you are referring to. Which screen should I find it on?

When I select Settings I see a list headed “Wireless & Networks”, under this is a list which starts with Wi-Fi.

If I select Wi-Fi I see a list of routers. Headings on this screen are: Settings icon followed by Wi-Fi. There is also an On/Off button a refresh push button and an “Add Network” button.

If I select my router it shows me details of my router.

None of these screens has a menu item as you describe it.
