how do I add a photo to my contacts? my phone is the moto z

I recently got the moto z and the guy at verizon switched over all my contacts from my old hone to the moto. I recently add a photo that I wanted to add to my contacts and igure it out. please help. thanks

Usually if you open the photo, tap on it, that will give you options like edit etc.. There should be a settings icon in top right corner, tap that and you should have use as contact picture...

Go to the contact you want to add the picture, press the pencil icon at the top right to edit. Tap on the generic icon of a person and follow the prompts for choose photo.

I have done this before and have photos on many contacts, but the phone has started losing them. I am trying to replace and the phone just will not post the photos. What's wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! Are the photos saved to Internal Storage or the SD card? If the latter, see if this happens if the photos are moved to Internal Storage instead.
