how do I add another Gmail account

I am trying to add my recently created second Gmail account to my phone. I have tried to add it from the Gmail app itself, and also from settings-accounts-add account. Every time I hit the add account button, it sends me to a page that asks for password/pin but its only the number pad that shows up. I have never set up a pin number for my Gmail account, I can not put in my psswrd because its only the number pad. It allowed me to sync my Yahoo mail with no problem. Why is it so difficult to add another Gmail account? Can someone please help me!

Can you go to Settings => Accounts => Email and try to add it from there?

I did that also. It brings me to the "enter pin" page.

Hmm.. You should check accounts.google.com to see for that infamous PIN you've been asked.

This is the screen I get. Something's not right if you are only getting a pin option.

(Settings-accounts-add account-google) This is what I get... no option for psswrd, no keyboard.

I finally figured out a work around to get it done. I had to go in to lock screen and security and set a pin and also disable the "smart lock" switch. I'm good to go now. Thanks for the help!!
