How do I? Add contact groups to the phone using Outlook?

I've created a group in outlook but it won't sync to the phone. Contacts, email and calendar sync wirelessly just fine.

Also I can't create a new group on the phone. Groups/Create Group/Add members stops at a dead end. There must be a simple step I'm missing.
