How do I add US holidays to Note10+ calendar without using Google?

It used to be so easy...just click holidays on or off, but now that's gone.

Is there a way to add US holidays to my calendar that doesn't require opening a Google calendar? Or purchasing an app?

I can't see a way to do that using only the native Samsung calendar. I checked on my A32 5G, but I assume the Samsung Calendar app is the same as the one on the Note10.

If you open Samsung calendar then tap.4 bars upper left >next to your email tap the" v" tap the dot to show then tap again to not show US holidaysScreenshot_20210509-131453_Calendar.jpg

Yeah, I was checking on my A32 5G -- you can see that calendar is part of the dropdown calendars for the Google-associated account. There's no Holiday calendar under the Samsung account. I also checked the Subscribed Calendars option, and there are no holiday calendars there either.

On my screenshot there's a holiday option with my Gmail account in Samsung calander

Right, I'm using the Samsung Calendar app as well -- but the Holiday calendar is part of the Google account calendar. That's the only way you can get a holiday calendar to show up in the Samsung Calendar app, as far as I can tell. It sounds like the OP doesn't want to use their Google account to get a holiday calendar. (Or if the OP just means they don't want to use the Google Calendar app, but are otherwise fine with using the Google account calendar in their Samsung Calendar app, then by all means, that's a solution.)

Yeah true without a Google account don't see it also

I'm uncomfortable with the amount of intrusion Google has into our lives. I've never used the Google calendar and, frankly, resent that they control the holidays on my phone.

I can set up recurring events on my own (at least the ones that don't float), but I was hoping to find a one click solution.

It shouldn't be this difficult.

I'm surprised Samsung account we don't have holidays only under Google

My guess is that it was a decision on Samsung's part, so if there's anyone to resent, it's them rather than Google.

I know that a privacy discussion wasn't the main point of your question, but it's worth pointing out that Google is very transparent about its privacy policies (and does give you a pretty decent amount of control), while Samsung isn't necessarily better -- see this article: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3514999/samsung-selling-data.html.
