How do I adjust the volume when talking to someone?

I think the volume is low cause I can barely hear the person I'm talking to. Often times I have to put it on speaker.

The speaker is only on the left side of the speaker grill. Try talking on the phone with the left half of the speaker in your ear. And of course make sure your volume is up.
