How do I block spam/phishing from my inbox?

Recently all of my junk mail is coming to my inbox. LG5

A phishing email is just an email - it's impossible to detect some of them programmatically. (If you get an email from your bank, about something that doesn't have anything to do with you, you'll know it's phishing attempt, but no software will.)

Spam filtering is done on your mail server before it gets to your phone.
Some mail providers do a better job of filtering spam than others.
Most of the big name email providers do not let you setup any filters that truly work.
Using a web browser, go to your email account and see what "settings" can be updated for spam filtering.
