How do I change an artist's name on the music app on LGV30?

I've been downloading my recorded songs onto my phone but it comes up as "Unknown artist". All I want to do is change the name of "unknown artist" to my name (the artist of the song). I can't understand why this is so difficult. I'm trying to share my songs, but "Unkown artist" will not do. Anyone have a simple solution to this unnecessarily difficult problem?

Is the ID3 tag correct? Use a music editor like MediaMonkey (or even Windows Media Player) on your computer and see if the Artist tag is correct. If not, edit it appropriately, then see if that works.

It's how every music app figures out how to sort a given music track by album, artist, genre, etc. You can edit it using the programs I mentioned above, among many others.

Diddy has you pointed in the right direction.

The ID3 data that contains all the title/artist info is not editable using the factory LG Music app as this app does not have that editing feature. You need an ID3 editor app or a different music app that has that editing feature.
