How do I change the tone (sound) of the notification reminder on a galaxy s9

I don't want to turn the notification reminder off, I just want to change the sound file

Open the reminder app, look for a menu (3 lines at the top left or 3 dots at the top right), tap that and look for Settings. You should find Notifications in there, and you should be able to change the notification sound. If you can't, it's using the phone's default notification, and that's in the phone's Settings - pull down the notification shade and tap the gear. Go to Apps & notifications, then to Notifications, then to Default notification sound, and change it there.
