how do i connect my broken s4 to my macbook

[AC Question]

I dropped my s4 and smashed my screen, like a ***** i listened to people who said get it fixed for £50 on the market so i did.. it came back repaired but i layed it on my table and slowly a black/purple leak appeared across my screen... within 2 minutes my screen was black. The phone impossible to use. All i am asking is how do i get all my files from my dead phone onto my macbook. Whenever i try to connect it doesnt seem to show up on my macbook even though i have android transfer... please any help will be great!

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure about Macs, but there is a method for PCs here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...de-accessing-locked-phone-cracked-screen.html. So if you can't find a way with your Mac (Android File Transfer is notoriously buggy), then see if you can borrow a PC.
