how to connect HTC one m8 to mobile data

I bought an unlocked HTC one m8 and purchased a plan from consumer cellular and my wifi and calls work but cannot connect to mobile data. i called customer service but got nowhere. any ideas?

Set the APN to CC's values. Settings/Connections/More networks/Mobile networks/Access Point Names. If you can't change the current values, add an APN and use the new one:

After saving that, turn the phone off, then turn it on again.
