How do I connect to home wifi?

I want to connect to my home internet wifi but it won't connect. It says there is an Authentication error has occurred and it won't connect. My wifi is secured and i have typed in the right password.

Have you first of all considered resetting your router and check the settings? There should be no reason why you cannot go directly to your phones WIFI settings and plug in your password and make it connect. What name brand router are you using? DOes it have an auto button on the side for connecting devices so you don't have to put in your password?
