How do I deactivate lock feature on my Samsung s5

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean that you want to completely turn off the screen lock? Go to Settings>Lock Screen>Screen Lock, and select None or Swipe. If you don't see those options and are required to use some kind of password, that could be due to encrypting the phone (if you did that at some point). Also, if you use the phone for work, your company might have also required a security credential to be installed that requires a password.

You might not think you need the feature now, but if you were to lose the phone, you'll definitely feel like you need it. Since most people keep a lot of sensitive data on their phones, it's very important to maintain good security.
