How do I delete prefab contact groups in people app?

There has to be some way to do this. If you open the people app and go to the leftmost tab, there will be three groups (if you haven't created any) there: coworkers, family, and friends. I never use these, and when I try to delete them on google contacts online, they don't even show up! How do I delete these? I can delete my own groups, but when I follow the same steps to delete the prefab groups, it never works.
