Welcome aboard I think you will find quite a few BlackBerry Boat hoppers here.

Welcome - as an ex-berry person, your going to love this phone, it's my second Android and I cant ever see gong back. As soon as we get root, we can get the bloatware off our phones (sit tight, it will happen soon enough)

I came from a Blackberry Curve 8900 and 9700 and the Android platform definitely takes some getting used to. The only thing I really miss from BB is the UMA feature and speakerphone quality. The Sensation is a beast but has an extremely poor speakerphone.

Have you tried Wi-Fi calling?
It seems to work just like UMA.

Well the difference with UMA and Android WI-FI calling is once you step outside the WI-FI range your call will drop, whereas on UMA it will just switch you over to the Cellular network. UMA is a Blackberry thing though. Doubt it will make its way to Android.

Coming from a 9700 as well it does take some getting used to but this phone blows doors off of the 9700 I can't see myself going back either. Hope u enjoin your phone

And I’m a new android user (coming from BB9700) – sometimes there are apps that are running in the background and I have to kill them using ADVANCE TASK KILLER.
Is that how you are supposed to force them not to run anymore?

I find there to be a lot of bloatware on my HTC Sensation 4G as well. Could we change the software to stock HTC Sensation or would that cause problems? All the T-Mobile apps annoy me (I'm on Wind).

You mean stock HTC Sense(?) or perhaps stock Android? Unfortunately the answer is no, at least not until September when rootability arrives.
