How do I disable lollipop text logging in my call list

I have a Galaxy S5 and after upgrading to lollipop I now have text message logging in my recent "calls". Which I have zero interest in having. I've toyed with all the settings and tried some of the tricks that seemed to work in the past (hitting home instead of back not restarting etc) and everytime I so much as close the application it resets back to showing "all" which includes my texts. Is there a way other than downloading an external app to fix this?

Download Samsung Log Converter from the market place. It'll filter out everything but calls.
