How do I download an app from Google Play onto my Kindle Fire 10 HD

I have a new kindle fire HD 10, and it says to download the app, "GoogleChrome" from the Google Play store using my gmail account. It will not let me download anything from Google play. Never had any problems using my gmail account. Please help
