How do I download backed up photos to my device?

Hi,

after the recent Samsung update on my S9+ all my photos disappeared for some reason. Fortunately, I had the google photos backup turned on so my files are safe. I just need them in my device also. I have not yet found a way to download all the missing photos in one go - the option "save to device" only shows with individual files.

Is there any way to download the entire backup to my phone?

Make sure in gallery settings your sign into your Samsung account and sync

Welcome to Android Central! I don't believe there's a way to download all of your photos from your Google Photos cloud en masse. Is there a reason you need all of them on local storage? Were they all originally saved to Internal Storage or an SD card?

You could always go to Google Photos, tap each one (to turn on the check mark), then the 3 dot menu (upper right), then download. But enabling Google Sync (in Settings/Accounts) should eventually sync them all.
