How do I enable notifications for Google reminders?

When I use the Google assistant to create a reminder at a specific time, I do not receive any notification (audible, vibration or visual). I can see the reminder in the Google Calendar app. Calendar notifications are enable in the Calendar app. Importance is set to Urgent, a sound is defined, Vibrate is on, App icon badges are on. I do get notifications for Events that in the calendar. Bixby reminders work correctly .How do I enable notifications for Google Reminders?

No power saving modes are turned on. The Google app does not appear in the battery settings.

Does it also happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-37190. (I'm assuming you have an S9 or similar.)

It is not in safe mode.

What I mean is, do your reminders give you notifications if you boot into Safe Mode? The reason to test this is to determine if some 3rd party app might be interfering.

I finally found the Google Reminder notification settings. They are under Google app/Settings/Your feed/Reminders. Why Reminder notifications settings would be under "Your feed" and why they are turned off by default is a question for Google to answer! What is the point of creating a Reminder if the app isn't going to "remind" you?
