How do I fix my Galaxy S6 if it doesnt fast charge?

It doesnt fast charge when I use the fast charge adapter that came with the phone. I tried using different USB cables and even a different Samsung fast charge adapter. I think its my phone that is causing the trouble. The fast charge option is on, but when the charger is connected it says cable charging. Please can someone help me with this. Other forums said that I would need to reboot my phone, which I dont want to do.

Rebooting is simply a Power Off & Restart. You don’t want to do that?
