Hello everyone, yesterday I started to have a weird problem with my phone. Basically no matter what I do, watch videos or pictures on my phone everything is fine and smooth, but when I try to play a game, screen becomes really blurry and pixels seems out of proportion. I've tried restart, shutting down, clearing phone caches, even updated software still the same.. Well after shutting down a phone I noticed actually it helps a little, the very first game I will play after shutting down phone will work normally, but if I want to play something else the problem comes back.. Just the first game I will start will be without any problems, because of that I doubt it's an technical issue, so maybe someone here had same problem or knows how to fix it?
P.S. Also the screen of how it looks like when I try to start game

I'm having the same issue. It started a few days ago. I have no idea what happened. Everything was fine, then for no apparent reason all my games turned to blurry screen. Everything else works fine. Is it possible that a Samsung software update is to blame?

re:

I just started having this like 2 days ago also and this is the first post I've seen about this

re:

After a Power Cycle it runs properly but some times it affects apps (Facebook app, Youtube, etc) after playing a game and return to home using the home button or "close all tabs" instead of closing the game.

re:

30 minutes have passed after the wiping of the cache partition, tested with Fallout Shelter and Game Dev Tycoon (closing with home button, with close all tabs, closing only the game tab, changing between games and/or apps) and no further incidents have occurred.

re:

Great -- I'll keep my fingers crossed. Let us know if the problem comes back!

re:

Hi B.Diddy, I am having the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S6 running 6.0.1 and your solution above didn't work. I've tried everything I know and don't want to factory reset my device.

re:

Yes, I realized I made a mistake in the cache wipe. Thanks for the fix. I was worried there for a bit.

re:

I have the same issue, I try the cache partition method too, twice. But it only works with 3 of my games and when I try downloading another game it becomes blurry, the other 3 games still works fine.

re:

This is weird. Do you all have Samsung phones, or is this also happening on other brands?

I'd posted on this other thread https://forums.androidcentral.com/a...-my-game-apps-all-pixelated.html#post6207362h but this one seems the more complete one. I actually uninstalled all of my apps and did a full flash of the phone but the issue came back. After that and towards the night I tried the Wipe cache partition and it worked once but now the issue is back. It seems to be mainly with Samsung devices so I would daresay it is a firmware glitch of some sort but not the actual games (it is happening with every single game regardless of maker etc).

I also have a Samsung S6 (SM-920P) running Marshmallow and the issue happens again, this time power cycle and cache wipe didn't fix it, later today will update to Nougat and run some tests.

Another thing to try is to uninstall all updates to Android System Webview (if your phone is on Marshmallow or below), or uninstall all updates to Chrome (for Nougat and above). Android System Webview updates can sometimes be a little glitchy.
