How do I get a mini SD card to show up on android??

[Android Central Question]

I have a mini sd card that isn't being detected in 2 different phones but other sd cards are. How can I find out what's on the card and get it to show up on my androids? I do not have an external card reader or a PC. Any advice?

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be clear -- you're talking about a true mini SD (i.e., the size between full size and microSD)? Those are pretty outdated.

If you don't have a PC or an external card reader, I don't see how you're doing to get it read on a phone. No modern phone has a slot that fits miniSD (or fullsize SD, for that matter).
