Sup everyone, just wanted to say I am new to posting here though I have enjoyed this forum for info for quite some time. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about what my options are to repair a scratch in the rear camera lens cover of my otherwise-immaculate Droid DNA. I have no clue where the scratch came from, but like so many of us, I love my Androids pristine. I have total eqpt coverage, but I doubt think it's wise tho replace a 3 month old phone with ZERO of the problems that other users have complained about like the dreaded Sim card issue with a refurbished unit. My last experience with Asurion was receiving 2 defective ENV Touches before they finally gave v me a brand new one. So any tricks you guys know would be appreciated, thank you all!!!!

Would rubbing compound work? Maybe the stuff they use for headlight restoral? I'm just throwing some ideas out. It's possible that could really screw up your lens. Guess it depends how deep the scratch it. Wonder if a professional camera store could buff it out with a small polishing wheel or something. Good luck, sorry about your lens.

I'm not sure that I would even attempt to repair it myself. I feel the pain of the refurb. I'm still on my first DNA and have had zero issues.

My best guess would be to contact HTC or possibly look on eBay for replacement parts. Go to a cell repair shop and have it installed. Especially since there's no way to open the darn thing.

Stay away from refurbs with a 10-foot (maybe longer) pole. Is the scratch seen in pictures (i.e. distortion)?
