How do I get Android OS back on my TV Dongle

I have a MK 809 TV Dongle, running Android 4.1.

It did work originally, but started playing up after I left it powered on for a week or two.

I just get a black screen with the bar at the bottom of the screen. There are no colour graphics, only white line shapes along the bottom bar.

I would appreciate it, if someone could help me solve this problem.

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think the OS is gone--I think the device suffered some major hardware failure (or the firmware is completely corrupted). Either way, there may not be much you can do, since most of these generic or off-brand TV sticks/boxes have minimal to no manufacturer or community support.
