I bought a Xperia T2 Ultra from Shanghai. I didn't know that Google Play services were blocked in China and now I'm stuck with this Chinese app store which is loaded with crappy apps and I'm unable to run google apps on my phone :/ what do I do?

Welcome to Android Central! Probably not much you can do. The phone is probably not certified for Google Play, so even if you manually installed the Play Store apk, compatibility would still be an issue. You might have some success using a VPN, but I'm not sure how smooth that would work.
