How do i get Marshmallow on this device, in the UK??

I recieved this device yesterday, Im in the UK. Its still on android 5.1.1 but I can't get it via OTA, software updates. Also tried via PC companian software and Im not going down the route of flashing the firmware as i dont know what to do. Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong and how to get marshmallow?

I know for a fact it was released here around 4 months ago via my carrier. Should i try taking my simcard out and see if it works?

I know Nougat is out soon, is that the reason why I cant update to marshmallow?

Please help!
