How do I get my Android 2.1 phone upgraded to 2.2 with flash?

I got this really cool smartphone (neither iPhone nor BlackBerry) with Android 2.1 on it, and I thought it could play flash contents but it didn't, so does anyone know how to get my phone correctly upgraded to 2.2? Is there just any Android app that is "flash player"?

For the official update you will have to wait for your carrier. Unofficially you can root your phone (not sure what kind you have) and flash a 2.2 Rom.

Thanks all for the reply, the phone is Acer Liquid E (link below) and I'm using it with AT&T, so there will be nothing I can expect from AT&T. I've tried to contact Acer and they said just wait and see if there is an OTA upgrade in the future.

So there isn't such an app that add flash player feature into my phone? I'm really in love with this perfect design but it will be very sad if I can't use flash...
