How do I get my camera to initialize on my Droid Turbo?

Camera won't initialize on Droid Turbo

During the course of the day, at least once a day, sometimes more, for no reason at all, I'll get a notification on my Droid Turbo that the camera didn't initialize. If the problem persists please power off phone. Well the problem always persists and I always have to power off my phone and turn it back on to get the camera working again. I've tried clearing out the data and the cache and it doesn't help. Anyone else having this problem? Solutions? Or will I have to wait for a software update of some kind?

I haven't had nor heard of that problem. Might be a hardware problem.

Yeah no issues like that here. I'd swap it, that might be an actual hardware issue.

Not sure that this will work for you but I did a soft reset of my Turbo by holding down the volume rocker and the power button until it powered down and restarted itself. I haven't had the problem since. Camera has been fully operational with no flaws. I'm glad I didn't have to do a factory reset on it but you may have to. I just can't say for sure. But if you do and that doesn't work, I'd agree with some of the other posts on here that the device itself might be defective. Hope that helps.

I believe I'm in the same boat. Keep getting error message to restart the camera. I do but same message.
I went into Verizon and after the Verizon tech factory reset, still no joy. Did all the cashe clears etc. No help. They ordered another turbo. Two days later the camera started working again out of the blue. Now it's not working again. Go figure. I started in safe mode and still didn't work.
Guess I'll wait for the new one...
