how do I get my new s5 to read my old s5's SDCard?

I have a new Galaxy S5, I put the old Galaxy S5 SD Card into it but my new phone's music app doesn't read it. Yes the phone knows it's there.

Welcome to Android Central! Is it the same music app? The stock Music app, or some other 3rd party player?

Use My Files to look in the directory with the music. Are the files visible? Make sure there isn't a file called ".nomedia" there--you might have to turn on a setting to show hidden files.
