How do I get my notification panel to respond to a single tap?

Htc One M8 notification panel problem!

I have the problem with the notification panel on my Htc One M8. When I scroll the notification panel to connect a mobile data, wifi, brightness or any other option I need to double tap the icon to turn it on. The same to turn it off. I try to turn off the phone but the problem still persist.
Is anyone else running into the same problem?

Are you talking about having to double-tap the panel icon or one of the icons in the panel? I always use the two-finger swipe down to open the panel so I have not run into this one.
