Hi.
Anyone know how to get rid of "Tap here to use your Samsung Account" notification?
I've tried Settings-->Accounts-->Accounts-->Samsung Account-->(whatever the 3 dots in upper right hand corner are called)-->About Samsung account-->App Info-->Notifications--> and I turned off App Icon Badges, Allowed Sound and "On Lock Screen", I chose "Do not show notifications".
I am still getting the notifications.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Since the update to Oreo on my Note 8, I am getting this notifications incessantly. There is no way to permanently dismiss it, and it will not take "NO" for an answer!

I've "declined" it repeatedly to no avail.

Do I have to close my Samsung account to get rid of this? I do not want to use this invasive "customization". But it won't let me opt out.

Unfortunately, it can't be done. The latest software update removed the option to disable the notification. Basically, the reason why I chose Android was that they didn't force you to have an account (like Apple), but obviously they aren't happy with that and now Samsung wants all it's users to have Samsung accounts. Great.....

Why would you *not* want a Samsung account?

"Tap and hold on the notification and flip the switch to stop it from showing"

Already did that. It still pops up.

There is no way to delete it. I was frustrated and ended up deleting my whole samsung account and never fill my account info when prompted.

Have had this issue since Oreo rollout. I have the Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U) operating on AT&T.

To get rid of this annoying Samsung notification, you'll need to RESET your app notifications. This default will turn all your app notifications on, but that is easily resolved after the reset is completed. Here is how you reset your app notifications, if you wish to do it:

Settings

Apps

Menu (3 dots in top right corner)

Reset app preferences

That's it. Now, on my S8+, the reset turned all app notifications ON. So, I had to go to:

Settings

Notifications

To select which apps I want notifications from, and to turn off those I don't want. The top switch next to "All apps" will turn everything off, and then you can simplyl browse through and turn on the apps you want notifications from.

A minor inconvenience, however, you will notice within minutes that the annoying "Tap here..." notification is history! Cheers and good luck!

Thank you so much for helping but unfortunately, this did not work. :-(

best way to gwt rid of it is get a Samsung account. it's annoying but I eneded up finally getting one when I had the s8. it works well for my biometric security/samsung pass/pay. it's also made switching from Samsung to samsung an effortlessly process. samsun also has there own "find my device" type service etc.

I know this is what people are trying to avoid but that 2 minute process can save a lot of annoyance.

I got rid of this notification by deleting my Samsung Account. First, power off your phone in order to close all Samsung apps that might be running. Then, using a PC, go to your Samsung account > profile, and delete it. Not sure yet what effect this will have, if any, on performance of my GalaxyS9+. I will update if I find problems.

Pretty simple once I saw the article on privacy settings.

Setting//Apps//Three Dots//Special Access//Notification Access

Just toggle the Samsung Experience Home to block.
