how do I get rid of the advertising and videos that take over my galaxy s5? ....

Go to Settings, Apps, All, then to any apps that you have installed that may be causing this and select Clear Cache, Clear Data, and Uninstall.
Then go to your browser app and Clear Cache and Clear Data.
If you still have problems, get back to us.
