how do I get rid of the stock messaging app?

I am using Google messenger, but I am still getting notifications on the stock apps which I hate. Any ideas?

I was looking for it on my H5X as well, and I couldn't find it either.

From the looks of it - even with the marshmallow update. It will not allow you to disable the stock message app.

You could try this though - go to the settings folder. Next click on the apps folder. Scroll to stock messenging app. Once your in the stock messenger app folder - click on notification option and turn off the notification setting in the stock messenging app. To see if that works.
