Android Central Question

My Galaxy S5 recently did a software update, and ever since then I've had a panel showing at the bottom of my phone's lock screen which seems to be allowing me to control a TV. It's titled 'Samsung TV at Virgin Media [my broadband name]'. The thing is, none of the TVs in my house are Samsung and none of them do anything when I use the controls that pop up on my phone when I click it.
I keep accidentally opening it when I'm trying to unlock my phone and it's really irritating me. How do I get rid of it?

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like Peel Remote -- is that on the phone? If so, turn it off (or go to the App Manager and Disable it).

Hope this helps (if not already resolved):
Settings > scroll down to "Application - Application Manager" > scroll down and select "Peel Smart Remote" > click on "Disable" (×2)
Can't quite remember the last step, but it has something to do with agreeing to restoring to factory standard / unistalling the app.
