How do i get sound to play on my tv when I mirror my android s8?

Have you checked to make sure media volume is up ?

"Mirror" is to a Samsung TV. If you have any other brand TV, use something like a Chromecast or Miracast. Samsung phones don't "mirror" very well to other brands (not at all to some).
