How do I get text message previews to show up?

Text Messaging and Music Question

I just switched to the Galaxy S5 from the iPhone 5, so I am still trying to learn the new format.

First: I know how to get text message previews to show up, however, is there a way to get the text message on the lock screen to show the name, but not the full message? Right now I can either get the name and the full message on the lock screen or just "new message".

Second: Is there a way to transfer all my iTunes music onto the S5 so I don't lose it?

How to Transfer data between iPhone and Android Phone should answer your second question. I don't have messages on my lock screen, so I don't know about the first one.
