How do I get the "new text message" banner to appear on lock screen?

Ever since the update (which is more of a change than any update), I don't receiving any notifications on lock screen. Even if I have texts or missed calls, I won't know until I unlock the screen. And then if it opens in the app I had running before I locked it, I have to close out of that app and go check. It's annoying and frustrating. I want my phone back to the way it used to be. So my questions are this:

1) How do I get messages, missed calls, etc. banners to appear on lock screen? I'm not asking for a preview. Just that there is a message or call notification.

2) Is there anyway to undo the update without losing some data since the update? (i.e. pictures, contacts, etc.)

Goto settings and check which notifications are enabled and if you want a certain message to show or reminder make sure it is enabled thru settings...

2) you can restore any data after it was deleted in your phone after the update.. And no you can de grade the system update
