Android Central Question

So I've purchased an unlocked LG V40 Thinq off of Ebay, but I do not like the Sprint logo that pops up whenever I start the phone. Is there a way I can flash this off my phone as well as remove all of the bloatware? Anyone knows how to safely remove this? Thanks for your help. Side note. I've never flashed a phone before and I'm kind of cautious as I don't want to disable the phone permanently or anything. I just want to remove it because I do plan to give this phone away as a gift and I don't want any of that on it when the person gets it.

Probably late to the party, but might help someone else as well.

The Sprint logo you just have to live with (unless it's set up as a wallpaper of some sort you can change). Not that big a deal, pops up for a second or two and goes away.
Both the logo and bloatware are just a part of being a carrier phone so you have to deal with them. There is a trick for the bloatware though. What I like to do before I add any of my apps is to go in the app listing through the settings menu. From there you can go through and select the ones you don't want and uninstall them. Those that you can't uninstall, select disable. It won't remove them, but at least you won't see them.
However, unless you root and install an alternate OS (way above my pay grade), they will still be on there if you do a factory reset and give it to someone else.

Doesn't LG make a unlocked version with no carrier splash screen or bloat ? If so flash that .
