How do i go back to regular google search, not google assistant?

I have the Galaxy S7 Edge, and when I bought it you could hold the home button and bring up Google search. After the last update, its just Google assistant voice search. How do I go back to the regular Google. I tried turning off Google Assistant but then it disables the home button search. I want to keep okay Google but I don't want t to voice search everything. It was more convenient than opening up the browser every time as well. Any help.

Welcome to Android Central! If there's no setting to change the function of the Home button, then you have a couple of options:

1. Place a shortcut on the homescreen for the Google app. Tapping that brings up the Google Now screen.

2. Install a 3rd party launcher like Nova Launcher, which allows you to customize what the Home button does, as well as add other gestures (like swipe up or down).
