How do I group contact group multiple entries in one file?

Recently I received a file in Whatsapp containing phone numbers of all railway stations.
When opened it displayed all the contact numbers and icons with call options.
There was an option to add this file to my contacts. It only creates one entry in my contacts.
This is very useful.
How this file is created?

With a text editor, probably. And a lot of leg work (or finger work, these days).
