Aside from turning my Edge 7 OFF at night, how do I keep the display OFF while charging? I've tried just about everything I can find.
Thanks,

Underneath the option for keep screen off is 'screen saver'. That brings up a display when charging. Turn that off.

Didn't work. Got up this morning and the display was on. I noticed that Always On Display was toggled on however.

You meant the clock? Yeah that's a feature.

No, more than just the clock. The display... even with Screensaver turned off, I have a full color display lighting up the room, when I get up in the morning. I'll try and get a shot of it in the morning.

Try turning on the power save feature. It might turn off your display.

Looks like PowerSave gets turned off temporarily while charging. I normally charge at night.

I think it may be related to notifications. Perhaps notifications wakes up the screen, and keeps it on (all night) while charging. All I know is the screen is black when I go to bed and it's ON (although dimmed) with visible notifications when I get up. My Motorolas always kept a black screen all night, no matter what.

That is very weird. Are you sure its not some app doing it? Do you have any apps that control e.g. notifications, display etc...?

That's not a fix. There's something wrong with his setup because the screen is not supposed to stay on when charging.

To the OP, do you have the Developer options enabled in your settings? There's an option in there to keep the screen on.

If not, you have something running that's keeping the screen on all the time.

Just found the answer (I think) on another forum. It lines up exactly with your suggestion.
"Stay awake" must have been turned on by default. Thanks
