How do I leave a group chat on galaxy note 2

My friends put me on a group chat and it's annoying and the leader refuses to delete me.

Welcome to Android Central! If it's an MMS group text, then you can't leave it. All you can do is to ask everyone else not to respond to that conversation, and create a new group text without you.

If they insist on continuing in that conversation, then you should be able to turn off notifications for that conversation only.
