How do I make newly subscribed Google calendar show up in the Samsung calendar app on my SGS8?

I use Google calendar and have added some external calendar subscriptions to it. The ones that I had before I set up my SGS8 all appear in the Samsung calendar app on the phone. However, any that I have subscribed to since then do not appear. How do I get them to appear?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the Calendar's settings and see if those calendars appear under your Google account. If so, tap them and make sure Sync is turned on.
