Android Central Question

My Samsung Galaxy 8+ did an update today and changed the default "photo editor pro" in my gallery to a kid-type program. (Junk!)
Thankfully, I can still access "photo editor pro" but now have added steps in doing so using the overflow button. (3 buttons on top right) So, how can I make "Photo Editor Pro" my default editor in gallery? Thank you for any help!

Go into Settings, click on apps, click on the app which is now the default gallery, click on permissions and remove them. Next time you try to edit a photo it should give you a choice again and you can make your chosen one default at the same time

I have the same problem. What's with Samsung for changing things and dumbing-down a great editor. Took me a few moments to located the older advanced editor but the extra steps are so frustrating!

Yeah same problem here. The Pro Editor was one of the standouts on my Nougat S8. Updated to Oreo and couldn't believe what they'd done to it! Overjoyed to find the Pro Editor is still around but come on Samsung, let us choose which is default. This Kids version is utter trash.

I'd rather go back to the old Gallery/Photo Editor. What happened to the Auto Adjust feature? That was the best. Are there any good alternatives for that? Snapseed, Photoshop, Lightroom, none of those auto adjust as well as the old Samsung Gallery.

Well... The reason that these new updates we're taken away, is because of people like me that are taking pictures of the planets that are in our orbit right now. The reason you don't see any of those telescopic lenses available for our cameras anymore is because we see things were not supposed to see. so they took the options we love away. they removed the blue contrast totally because it's a way to be able to see these planets.

You are saying that there are planets in orbit around the Earth and that Samsung changed their default photo editing app in order to hide them? Can you please provide a source for either or both claims?
